Job summary

Seitec in Canberra is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to build and scale complex sensor systems used in seismic detection. You will design embedded software for STM32-based platforms, focusing on real-time data processing, spectrum signal detection, and automated responses over low-bandwidth links.

You will translate MATLAB and Python models into efficient C code, optimize LoRa/LoRaWAN communications, and collaborate across AI/ML, hardware, and cloud teams to deliver

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
Tertiary degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
Australian citizen able to obtain Defence Security Clearance.
Proven experience developing applications in modern C on resource-constrained systems.
Strong fundamentals in real-time embedded software, ACID, idempotency, abstraction, modularity, testing, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

Design and implement embedded software for STM32-based seismic sensors.
Translate algorithms from MATLAB/Python into efficient C code.
Develop real-time data processing and low-bandwidth communications.
Collaborate with AI/ML, data science, hardware, and cloud teams.
