Job summary

Polaris Education is seeking a part-time School Cleaner for our Tamworth site. The role covers term-time only hours, totaling 17.5 per week, at Tamworth, Staffordshire location.

You will join a supportive facilities team focused on maintaining a clean, safe learning environment. Responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, bin emptying, toilet cleaning, and replenishing supplies, along with dusting and tidying of areas.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning large buildings, preferably educational facilities.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when required.
• Flexible approach to duties and willingness to perform all reasonable cleaning tasks.
• Ability to use a wide range of cleaning equipment and products appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum cleaning and mopping floors.
• Emptying and cleaning bins.
• Cleaning toilets and bathroom spaces.
• Replenishing bathroom supplies.
• Dusting, polishing and straightening furniture and cupboard tops.
• Tidying communal areas, ensuring hazards are removed.
• Wiping down paintwork, including skirting boards and window ledges.

About the School

Located in Tamworth, our new school, which can accommodate up to 78 pupils, offers a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 18. About You

• Previous professional experience of cleaning a large commercial building, preferably a school, college or university
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• A flexible approach to work and preparedness to carry out all reasonable cleaning tasks
• Ability to use a wide range of cleaning equipment and products appropriately

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be met by Polaris.
