Job summary

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) seeks an EL1 React AI Developer to design, build and support modern web applications using React and TypeScript. You will work with analysts, designers, backend developers and technical leads to deliver accessible, secure and user‑centred digital solutions, leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.

Hybrid work arrangements are available, with a minimum of three days in the office each week, and flexible

Qualifications

Experience building frontend apps with React and TypeScript.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities

Develop, test and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript and contemporary frontend engineering practices.
Collaborate with business analysts, designers, architects and backend development teams to deliver high-quality user experiences and integrated digital solutions.
Contribute to accessible, secure and maintainable applications that align with agency standards and user needs.
Utilise AI-assisted software development tools to accelerate implementation, testing, troubleshooting, documentation and delivery activities while maintaining accountability for code quality and technical outcomes.
Participate in code reviews, testing activities, CI/CD processes and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and delivery outcomes.
Support the development of reusable components, design systems and shared frontend capabilities.
Subject to negotiations with line manager, hybrid working arrangements are available (minimum of 3 days in the office, with flexible arrangements for the remaining days).
