Job summary

Rangam in Australia is seeking a detail‑oriented project management or research operations professional. The role collaborates across hardware, chemistry, physics, and AI domains to drive procurement, budgeting, and contract workflows.

You will manage supplier research, quotes, POs, and budget reconciliation in partnership with technical owners and the Lab Manager. Strong communication and documentation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management or research operations.
• Ability to operate & communicate across technical domains (hardware, chemistry, physics, AI).
• Experience with complex procurement workflows (supplier research, quoting, PO tracking).
• Understanding of contracts (NDAs, SOWs).
• Experience with budget tracking, reconciliation, and PO-to-budget matching.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams independently.
• Excellent written & verbal communication, documentation, and status reporting.

Responsibilities

• Document and track complex cross-functional operations; maintain open action items and follow up with owners to drive closure.
• Research suppliers, onboard suppliers, obtain quotes, track orders and follow up with vendors, maintain detailed tracking of BOMs or equipment purchasing with technical owners and Lab Manager.
• Draft, route, and track NDAs, SOWs, and related agreements with legal, researchers, and vendors.
• Track budgets, perform budget reconciliation, and match POs to budget lines.
• Support travel planning, onsite vendor visit planning, and team event planning.

Key Responsibilities
