Job summary

Swissport in Australia is seeking dedicated Ramp Service Agents and Baggage Handlers to support airport operations on the tarmac, including loading/unloading baggage, cabin cleaning, and assisting with aircraft pushback. The role requires physical fitness, safety focus, and the ability to work across a 7-day roster with early mornings and weekends.

You will collaborate with a dynamic team, handle baggage up to 32kg, and use sorting equipment to maintain smooth flows for arriving and departing

Qualifications

• Able to work across a 7-day roster and 24 hours a day.
• Good physical fitness for lifting up to 32 kg.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload aircraft baggage efficiently.
• Safely transfer luggage to and from aircraft.
• Handle baggage weighing up to 35 kg repetitively.
• Operate in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth operations, including sorting, loading, and unloading baggage and cargo accurately.
• Manage baggage flow for departing and arriving flights using sorting equipment and manual handling techniques effectively.
