Job summary

Queensland Rail is seeking a Trackworker (Labourer) based in Dalby to join the track maintenance team covering the Jondaryan to Chinchilla and Meandarra corridor. The role involves heavy manual tasks, outdoor work in varying weather, and travel across regional Queensland with potential penalties and overtime opportunities.

You will contribute to track repair, maintenance, and safety while gaining training in Rail Infrastructure – Track, with PPE and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in manual handling or physical labouring roles.
• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Must have capacity to travel and work within Regional Queensland.
• Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the repair and maintenance of the railway track.
• Perform outdoor labouring duties throughout the region (including flood repair and other emergency work).
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
