Job summary

Cross River Rail Delivery Authority seeks a Rail Possessions Manager to lead the Possessions Team and coordinate track closures across the SEQ network. You will work with Queensland Rail, the Department of Transport and Main Roads and project stakeholders to align programs and minimise customer impacts.

This fixed‑term role, until March 2029 with possible extension, offers an influential opportunity to shape access outcomes within a major infrastructure program.

Qualifications

• Experience in possessions planning and possessions program management within a rail infrastructure environment.
• Ability to lead a specialist team and maintain performance in a complex delivery environment.
• Experience chairing multi-agency forums and coordinating decision making across competing priorities.
• Strong program management skills to coordinate complex delivery activities and manage risks, issues, dependencies and constraints.
• Highly developed written communication skills for reports, submissions, briefings and governance documentation.
• Proven ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence outcomes.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach to resolve access and delivery challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Possessions Team, establishing clear accountabilities and supporting performance and development.
• Chair the Cross River Rail Track Possessions Working Group to identify risks, dependencies and opportunities.
• Develop and optimise possession programs with Queensland Rail, TMR and project stakeholders.
• Maintain the Cross River Rail Base Track Possession Schedule to ensure accuracy.
• Review possession programs and access strategies to support efficient network access and compliance.
• Monitor project activities and possession delivery to identify risks and changes.
• Assure possession documentation, reports and governance material.
• Maintain reporting and performance information to support governance and executive reporting.
• Oversee possession risks, issues and opportunities with practical delivery solutions.
