Job summary
BHP is seeking an experienced Specialist Comms Engineer Reliability to join the Signals, Comms & Plant Reliability Engineering Team supporting WAIO Rail in Port Hedland. The role focuses on improving the reliability and performance of communications infrastructure across the WAIO network, with emphasis on asset performance, RCA, and collaboration with Operations, Maintenance and engineering teams.
You will apply technical expertise in rail communications systems, OT networks, and maintenance

Responsibilities
- Improve reliability, availability and performance of rail communications infrastructure across WAIO rail network.
- Monitor asset performance and drive reliability improvement initiatives.
- Lead or participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA) for significant failures and implement corrective actions.
- Develop maintenance strategies to improve comms asset reliability and maintainability.
- Provide technical support to Operations and Maintenance for safe maintenance execution.
- Act as interface between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects and vendors on asset performance.
