Job summary

BHP Group in Port Hedland is seeking a Technology Supervisor to lead maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement of operational technology across mining and rail operations. This role oversees a team of technicians and contractors, ensuring safety, compliance and high equipment performance in a fast-paced site environment.

You will collaborate with site stakeholders, vendors and service providers to drive data-driven improvements, plan maintenance, and report outcomes.

Qualifications

• Section 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification under the WA Mines Regulations.
• Experience leading teams in mining or related operations.
• Experience supporting critical OT and communications systems in industrial settings.
• Understanding of OT, communications infrastructure, and asset management.
• Proven safety‑first leadership driving reliability and continuous improvement.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.
• Trade/Diploma/Degree in IT/Telecom/Electronics preferred.
• Alignment with BOS disciplines: Continuous Improvement, Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, Problem Solving, Work Management, Data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise technology technicians and contractors.
• Maintain the reliability and performance of OT systems including networks, automation, CCTV, access control.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure HSE compliance.
• Plan, coordinate and prioritise maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders, vendors and service providers.
• Coach and develop the team and manage performance.
• Ensure work management documentation and reporting are accurate and timely.
