Job summary

Di Mattia Transport is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator-in-training for immediate start at our St Marys, NSW site. You will wash, inspect, and assist with maintenance of civil and rail plant, loaders, and heavy equipment. A valid licence and physical fitness are essential as you grow toward a full Plant Operator role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (essential).
• Familiarity with civil and rail plant (loaders, excavators, etc.).
• Mechanically minded with ability to spot issues and perform minor fixes.
• Reliable, physically fit, and keen to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and detail civil and rail plant and equipment to site-ready standards.
• Perform routine checks and carry out minor mechanical repairs.
• Assist with loading/unloading gear and managing yard inventory.
• Work around and assist with loaders, excavators, rail-specific plant, and other heavy machinery.
• Support a safety-first culture and keep the yard clean, organised, and compliant.
