Job summary

Bairnsdale Regional Health Service in Victoria is seeking a Radiographer (Grade 2/3) to deliver high-quality imaging across inpatients, outpatients and referring practitioners. The role includes leadership opportunities at Grade 3 and exposure to MRI, CT, ultrasound, and radiography.

You will work with a skilled team, participate in CPD, supervise junior staff, and contribute to continuous improvement. The department covers two campuses and offers modern imaging equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor level qualification in medical imaging and AHPRA registration.
  • Radiation Use Licence and ASMIRT accreditation required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with General and Fluoroscopy imaging; CT/MRI/Mammography advantageous.
  • Ability to supervise junior staff and work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and proficiency with radiology software and MS Office.

  • Deliver high-quality imaging services to inpatients, outpatients and referrers.
  • Contribute to leadership development at Grade 3 level and supervise junior staff.
  • Engage in CPD and clinical education opportunities to advance skills.

The Contract:

Full-Time, 80-hour fortnight with ADO, 7-day rolling roster

The position:

This role offers the opportunity to work in a progressive and dynamic department boasting the latest state-of-the- art medical imaging equipment. As a Grade 2 or 3 Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality imaging services to hospital inpatients, outpatients and referring practitioners. As a member of this skilled and professional team, you will also have the chance to consolidate leadership skills at the Grade 3 level. You will also be encouraged and supported to participate in continuous professional development programs to further consolidate your skills.

The department:

The BRHS Medical Imaging department offers a comprehensive range of medical imaging services spread across 2 campuses including: MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography, digital X-ray, BMD and OPG. A full range of interventional and fluoroscopic procedures are undertaken within the department with our service also being complimented by the expertise of visiting Radiologists.

What We're Looking For:
  • Relevant qualifications and registrations: Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Imaging (or equivalent), AHPRA registration, Radiation Use License, ASMIRT accreditation, and current CPD enrolment
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with strong knowledge in General and Fluoroscopy Imaging, plus one or more modalities (CT, MRI, Mammography)
  • Proven ability to operate a diverse range of imaging equipment, supervise junior staff, and work independently or within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication, customer service focus, and proficiency in radiology software and MS Office.
