Job summary

Austin Health is seeking a Radiation Therapy Manager for the Ballarat Austin Radiation Oncology Centre (BAROC). You will provide clinical leadership, oversee operations, and drive high-quality patient-centered care across a large, diverse team of radiation therapists.

Lead service development, safety, and workflow optimization while collaborating with ONJ Centre and BAROC leadership to meet national standards and strategic goals. Experience in HR and change management is essential.

Qualifications

• Greater than 10 years clinical practice.
• Experience, skills and knowledge base in radiation therapy practice and team organisation and supervision commensurate with senior radiation therapist responsibilities.
• Awareness of quality and safety issues.
• Engagement with continuing professional development.
• Experience in team supervision and leadership in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Finance management.
• Leadership and management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead team(s) to produce work of a high calibre.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated experience in Human Resource Management.
• Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety.
• Ability to problem solve in a variety of complex situations.
• Ability to build a dynamic team which works effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to implement, lead and support change.
• Ability to initiate and manage clinical projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee BAROC radiation therapy services and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Provide professional leadership and supervision of a large team of radiation therapists.
• Drive service planning, workforce, safety, and clinical outcomes at BAROC.
• Collaborate across Austin Health to align with strategic objectives and innovations.
• Lead continuous improvement, mentoring, and structured learning initiatives.
