Job summary

EPEC Group is a nationally recognised high-voltage engineering and EPC partner delivering HV power engineering, testing, and compliance services. We are seeking an R2 Commissioning Engineer to plan Test Plans, enablement works, and Hold Point testing across projects, including performance testing and model validation.

The role involves coordinating with AEMO, NSPs, EPCs, OEMs and test teams, with an office-based focus on performance testing and power system validation in Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Power, or Control Engineering.
• 2+ years experience in grid compliance, commissioning, or power systems on renewables.
• Understanding of AEMO/NSP frameworks (R0/R1/R2).

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning management through FAT, construction checks, cold/hot commissioning, and testing.
• Prepare R2 Test Plans and negotiate with AEMO/NSPs.
• Complete test preparation and enablement activities for testing (SCADA, power quality, inverters).
• Perform Hold Point testing and prepare Hold Point reports.
• Prepare R2 Model Validation reports per AEMO requirements.
• Provide testing and reporting for plant changes and ongoing compliance.
