Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology (UCT) seeks an experienced R&D Engineer III to advance new process technologies for semiconductor cleaning and coatings. You will plan, develop, and test approaches that meet customer needs while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You may lead project efforts and collaborate across functions to drive value and IP protection. The role emphasizes DOE studies, process characterization, and scalable implementation in production environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy / Hydrometallurgy or Mechanical Engineering.
Advanced degree is preferred.
4–8 years of directly related engineering experience in a development engineering role.
Experience with statistical design of experiments and DOE for process optimization.
Knowledge of semiconductor tools, materials, processing and cleanroom environments.
Experience with process simulation, product development and product marketing.
Experience working in and understanding cleanroom environments.
Strong project management abilities.
Ability to create disruptive chemical processes and coatings to address customer challenges.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop and execute testing and implementation of new technologies for new processes.
May lead a project role analyzing equipment/technologies for production implementation.
Collaborate with other departments to meet customer and profitability objectives.
Assist in completing site systems projects and required documentation.
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, compliance and regulatory standards.
