Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Quarry Supervisor for East Guyong Quarry, located between Orange and Bathurst on the Mitchell Highway. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will oversee daily operations including drilling, blasting, excavation, crushing and screening, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years in quarry supervision, knowledge of mining safety regulations, strong leadership and communication skills, and a valid driver's license with heavy equipment

Qualifications

• Experience in quarry operations with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations in mining.
• Ability to plan, organize and lead a team to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drilling, blasting, excavation, crushing and screening operations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement production plans to meet output targets and quality specs.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance.
• Lead, train and manage quarry personnel for safe operations.
• Inspect site for hazards and maintain accurate production records.
• Collaborate with quality control and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
• Implement cost-saving strategies to optimise resource use.
