Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Quarry Supervisor for East Guyong Quarry, NSW. You will oversee drilling, blasting, excavation, crushing and screening, ensuring safety compliance and efficient production.

You will lead a team, manage maintenance, track production metrics and coordinate with quality control and logistics to meet targets. The role requires at least 5 years in quarry supervision, strong leadership and a solid understanding of mining regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a Quarry supervisory role.
• Deep knowledge of quarrying techniques, equipment and safety procedures.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations in mining.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency with relevant software and reporting tools.
• Valid driver’s license and heavy equipment certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of quarry operations including drilling, blasting, excavation, crushing and screening.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement production plans to meet targets and quality specs.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance/repairs.
• Lead, train and manage quarry personnel to maintain a safe, productive environment.
• Conduct site inspections to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
• Maintain production records, inventory and operational reports.
• Collaborate with quality control and logistics for smooth operations.
• Implement cost-saving strategies to optimize resource use and reduce costs.
• Respond to operational issues and emergencies promptly.
