Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is recruiting process and mobile plant operators for its Perth Hardrock quarry near Byford, WA. You will operate crushing and mobile equipment and perform general labour and maintenance around the quarry.

Ideal candidates bring experience in fixed or mobile crushing, strong mechanical aptitude, and a collaborative, safety‑minded approach. The role offers an hourly wage with penalties for overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in fixed or mobile crushing operations or other screening/mineral processing operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive maintenance attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor crushing plant and related machinery safely and efficiently.
• Conduct routine plant inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Assist with plant setup, calibration, and shutdown procedures.
• Operate mobile plant equipment (loader, hauled trucks, skid steer) to support hard‑rock processing.
