Job summary

the company is seeking a Technical Lead for its DF-AMO product in Cambridge to drive the technical roadmap and production readiness. You will collaborate with engineering, research, product and customer teams to shape the product direction and ensure scalable delivery.

You will mentor a growing team of engineers, work across quantum architectures, and balance latency, throughput and maintainability in a cutting-edge software stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading small to medium technical teams.
• Excellent software skills, particularly in C++, with Python experience beneficial.
• Comfortable learning quantum error correction fundamentals to enable collaboration with QEC research teams.
• Experience delivering complex software products from concept through deployment and customer adoption.
• Experience line managing engineers and guiding teams to success.
• Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical development of the new product DF-AMO and drive its roadmap.
• Turn decoding technology into a scalable, production-ready system and align with stakeholders.
• Evaluate trade-offs to optimize performance, maintainability and scalability.
• Mentor and develop a growing team of 5+ engineers and foster a delivery-focused culture.
