Adbri Concrete is seeking a Quality & Technical Specialist based in Darwin to oversee QA/QC and support major projects across the Northern Territory. Join Adbri Concrete as a Quality & Technical Specialist and play a key role in the quality and performance of our concrete and aggregate products across the Northern Territory. Based in Darwin, you’ll support our operations in Katherine and Alice Springs, working closely with customers, operational teams and external laboratories.
This is a highly site-focused technical role, where you’ll have the autonomy and influence to directly impact product quality and customer outcomes. You’ll oversee QA/QC, analyse results, support mix design and process improvement, coordinate testing, conduct quality audits and provide technical guidance across the operation.
This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, with early starts depending on scheduled jobs - perfect for someone who enjoys an early start and catching the sunrise. During busy periods and major projects, you’ll also work occasional night shifts to support our operations and be on site when it matters most. You’ll also participate in a Saturday on-call roster for escalations.
You’ll bring strong technical knowledge of concrete and/or aggregate testing, together with the ability to interpret results and understand what they mean operationally.
You could come from a laboratory, technical, engineering or concrete/aggregates background. Experience with mix design, QestLab/QestMix, Australian Standards, Main Roads specifications or NATA requirements will be highly regarded, but we’re also happy to provide training to the right person.
Most importantly, you’ll enjoy getting out on site, working directly with customers and operational teams, understanding challenges and finding practical ways to improve products and processes.
