Job summary

Siemens Gamesa in Melbourne is seeking a Quality Management professional to support the Project Manager and Service operation manager in all aspects of quality as an expert partner.

You will establish and implement the QM system for wind turbine projects, perform inspections, manage NCRs, and drive corrective actions across on-site teams, including travel to sites up to 60% of workdays.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ work experience in the field of quality management in projects or services.
• ISO 9001 internal auditor certificate or equivalent certificate is required.
• Familiar with NCR handling in SAP as well as problem solving process.

• Develops, controls, improve and ensure the implementation of a quality plan for the project derived from the QM system.
• Establishes the QM system for the project which meets internal, customer, regulatory, and business needs.
• Performs Maintenance Quality Inspection and Product Quality Inspections in the wind turbines.
• Manages and navigate NCRs and problem solving; facilitates resolutions of quality related 8Ds.
• Drives visibility of issues and risks relating to non-conformances and cost associated with inadequate quality.

Supports the Project Manager / Service operation manager in all aspects of quality as an expert and partner.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Develops, control, improve and ensure the implementation of a quality plan (incl. quality assurance measures such as review/test/validation/...) for the project derived from the existing QM system agreed upon with the own organization, customer, partners and suppliers.


• Establishes the QM system for the project which meets internal, customer, regulatory, and business needs and oversees its implementation during all stages of a project.


• Performs Maintenance Quality Inspection and Product Quality Inspections in the wind turbines.


• Manages and navigate NCRs and problem solving. Facilitates resolutions of d quality related 8Ds including


• Drives visibility of issues and risks relating to non-conformances and cost associated with inadequate quality together with site management team

What You Bring

• 5 years’ work experience in the field of quality management in projects or services. Wind Power site experience is preferred.


• Familiar with NCR handling in SAP as well as problem solving process.


• Experienced in quality management system. ISO 9001 internal auditor certificate or equivalent certificate is required.


• Product knowledge for Wind Turbine, Blades, Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic related components is preferred


• Project management related experience is preferred


• Willing to sleeve up, perform the inspection in the wind turbines, investigate the root cause at wind farm or supplier factories when needed


• Willing to travel to the site up to 60% of working days
