Job summary

Evolve Scientific is seeking a Quality Technician to join the laboratory team for a full-time, on-site role in Adelaide. The position involves handling beer samples, performing microbial testing, preparing media, data entry, and maintaining lab equipment and workflow during rotating shifts.

The ideal candidate holds tertiary qualifications in Food Science or Microbiology and has a practical understanding of wet chemistry, data handling in Excel, and teamwork in a beverage manufacturing

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science/Microbiology or a related discipline.
• Experience in the food and beverage industry is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform chemical or microbial testing on food/beverage samples.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collection, storage and organisation of beer samples
• Microbial testing, plating and counting colonies on plates
• Preparation of media and buffers
• Data collation on Excel and presentation of results at meetings
• Titration and general wet chemistry
• Operation and calibration of laboratory equipment
• General maintenance of the laboratory environment
