Job summary

Terra Verde is delivering major tunnelling works in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. We are seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure construction activities meet drawings, specifications and documented procedures, drawing on tunnelling experience to identify and resolve non-conformances.

You will conduct site inspections, manage NCRs, maintain quality records, and support corrective actions with subcontractors and site teams. The role requires strong communication and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience with site inspections, ITPs and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of NCRs, defect management and corrective actions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative, team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and subcontractor inspections to ensure compliance with ITPs and drawings.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation, including work lots and records.
• Prepare and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) through to close-out.
• Verify implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
• Manage defects and drive timely resolution.
• Support surveillance and inspections of subcontracted works alongside the Quality Coordinator.
• Collaborate with site supervisors to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Participate in Quality and Construction meetings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Deliver work efficiently within required timeframes.
