Job summary

Resource Services Group X in Melbourne is seeking experienced HV Test Technicians (primary & secondary) and Engineers to join our energy and utility projects across Victoria under an ETU EBA.

You will perform protection relay and HV equipment testing, primary/secondary injection testing, circuit breaker timing, and HV switchgear testing, while maintaining safety and regulatory standards. Join a growing team delivering mission-critical ME&I solutions.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and HV switching ticket.
• Experience with OEM protection relays.
• HV switching and operations experience.
• Experience with protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform HV protection testing on protection relays and HV equipment.
• Carry out primary/secondary injection testing.
• Test circuit breakers, transformers, and HV switchgear.
• Maintain records and ensure safety procedures.
• Adhere to site-specific safety requirements.
• Work across energy, renewable, and utility projects in Victoria.

• Protection relay and HV cable, transformer, CT/VT testing
• Primary and secondary injection testing
• Circuit breaker timing and contact resistance testing
• Primary Transformer and HV Switchgear Testing.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Conducting fault finding and problem-solving in HV Protection systems.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of completed work.
• And adhering to all company and site-specific safety procedures.
• Secondary Injection Protection Testing for those with secondary experience.

What We're Looking For
