SDI in Bayswater (with a secondary site in Montrose, Victoria) is seeking a Quality Control Officer to perform visual, chemical and physical tests in a laboratory/manufacturing setting. The role requires ensuring products meet quality specs, assisting with certificates of analysis, and handling returned goods.

Experience in GMP/GDP, laboratory and warehouse work, and the ability to distinguish colours are essential. Travel between two sites may be required; a car and licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate or Associate degree in Applied Science - Chemistry or related discipline is desirable.
• Experience working in a lab and warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of GMP & GDP.

Responsabilités

• Approve incoming materials by testing and inspecting to meet quality specs.
• Identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
• Approve in-process production and communicate adjustments.
• Approve finished products by confirming specs and conducting tests.
• Return products for re-work and complete re-work documentation.
• Record and store test data; assist with Certificate of Analysis.
• Handle customer returned goods.
• May perform testing using human teeth; vaccination against Hepatitis B required.
• Assist QC Supervisor to ensure standards and regulations are met.
