Job summary

M.A.P. WA, proudly Australian and a family-run business in Bibra Lake, is recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager to lead on-site quality and food safety, ensuring compliance with CFMSR, HACCP, GMP and customer standards.

You will partner with production, conduct internal audits, manage certifications, update SOPs, oversee packaging content and design changes, and lead investigations with a focus on continuous improvement and people leadership.

Qualifications

• This position suits an experienced Quality Assurance Manager with skills across a variety of food groups, particularly red meat, and with demonstrated people leadership.
• Relevant qualification in Food Science or related discipline.
• 4+ years experience in quality systems management within a food industry environment.
• Beneficial experience: Aus-Meat, HACCP, CFMSR.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent understanding of traceability programmes and verification.

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

M.A.P WA is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager to play a key role in driving food safety and quality culture across the site, ensuring the site remains compliant with regulatory, certification/customer standards and internal policies.

Reporting to the Head of Site, this role will be responsible for:

• Owning and managing all quality and food safety activities on site
• Partner with production teams daily to achieve compliance
• Conducting internal audits, manage certifications and close out non-conformances
• Overseeing compliance with CFMSR, HACCP, GMP
• Developing and updating SOPs, and other key documentation
• Managing packaging updates regarding content and design, including, PREP analysis, approval process and marketing design panels
• Leading investigations and implement corrective actions for food safety incidents
• Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring opportunities for personnel under your controlship, coaching and mentoring opportunities for personnel under your control
