Job summary

• Experience in Quality Assurance or quality administration in food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and develop product specifications and compliance documentation for internal and external customers.
• Develop and update quality documents including forms, work instructions, procedures, policies and supporting records.
• Maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System with controlled, accessible documentation.
• Regularly review and audit quality documentation for accuracy and currency.
• Develop procedures that meet Australian Standards, legislative requirements and customer expectations.
• Maintain customer feedback records and analyse trends for improvement opportunities.
• Prepare regular quality reports based on QA metrics and data.
• Support Quality and cross-functional projects, including new product launches.
• Provide guidance on Quality System requirements to employees and managers.
• Undertake verification checks of finished and in-process products to ensure specs are met.

Job description

Hazeldene's is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Quality Assurance Administrator to join our Quality Team at our Lockwood site. This is an important role supporting the ongoing development, maintenance and effectiveness of Hazeldene's Quality Management System, while helping ensure our products, processes and documentation comply with internal standards, customer requirements and relevant legislative obligations. Working closely with the Quality team and stakeholders across the business, you will coordinate quality documentation, product specifications, customer compliance requirements and reporting, while also providing practical quality support across our operations. The role would suit someone who enjoys working with detail, systems and data, but who is also comfortable getting out into the operation to understand processes, verify standards and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and develop product specifications and compliance documentation for internal and external customers.
• Develop and update quality documents including forms, work instructions, procedures, policies and supporting records.
• Maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System by ensuring current documentation is controlled, available and distributed appropriately.
• Regularly review and audit quality documentation to ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
• Support the development of procedures that meet relevant Australian Standards, legislative requirements and customer or retailer expectations.
• Maintain internal and external customer feedback records and analyse trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare regular quality reports using analysis of relevant quality assurance metrics and data.
• Support Quality and cross-functional projects, including new product launches and product or process changes.
• Provide guidance to employees, Supervisors and Managers regarding Quality System requirements within the scope of the role.
• Undertake verification activities and random checks of finished and in-process products to ensure specifications are being met.

About you

• Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Administration, food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar regulated environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Confidence working with policies, procedures, specifications and controlled documents
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Ability to interpret information and prepare clear reports
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different areas of the business
• A proactive, hardworking and self-motivated approach
• Ability to communicate quality requirements clearly and professionally to employees and leaders
