Job summary

Qube seeks a qualified Train Driver to operate locomotives and manage trains safely in accordance with QLRS and regulator rules. The role is based in Moss Vale, NSW, with a flexible status of full-time or casual, and responsibilities include safe operations, training others, and adhering to all rail safety procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a TLI42615 Certificate IV in Train Driving and an AQF train operations qualification, with strong communication skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• TLI42615 Certificate IV in Train Driving.
• Certificate in train operations and AQF qualification from the current training package.
• Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of safe working requirements on all routes, mainlines, terminals and sidings.
• Work collaboratively and harmoniously as a part of a team; flexible and adaptable to a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Fulfil train operations requirements in a timely, safe, efficient and punctual manner.
• Participate in training, briefing sessions and toolbox talks associated with safe and efficient train operations.
• Mentor and encourage training for trainee train drivers.
• Comply with procedures, work instructions, operating protocols and rules to deliver safe operations.
• Conduct shunting and train inspections in accordance with company procedures.
• Promote QLRS in all forums to raise the organisation's profile within industry.
