Job summary

Community Services #1 is hiring a Qualified Team Leader for the St Peter & Paul OSHC program in Garran. This part-time role involves leading daily operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring engaging activities that support children's development in a safe setting.

You will maintain records of observations for planning, uphold child wellbeing, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and frameworks. A Diploma in ECEC (or ACECQA-equivalent) is required, with current checks and a driver’s licence

Community Services #1 (CS#1) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Team Leader to join our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program at Garran (Part-Time).

About the role:

As a Qualified Team Leader, you’ll build strong connections with children, families, colleagues, and the community to support children’s development in a safe and engaging environment that encourages learning, play, and social interaction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and be accountable for the day-to-day room operations and provide direction and mentoring for team members on running program activities, supervising, and interacting with children and applying their daily care routines.
• Plan, document and maintain records of observation for individual children for program planning and assessment of each child’s short- and long-term development needs.

• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging environment, ensuring active supervision, child wellbeing, and compliance with child protection, health and safety requirements.

About you:

• ACECQA-approved qualification relevant to Out of School Hours Care (minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or other ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification).

Part-time role (25 hours per week). This role may be expected to work split shifts (morning and afternoon) when required. Remuneration aligned to Children Services Award Level 6 plus super and salary packaging. Supportive leadership, development opportunities and a values-driven workplace.

Requirements:

Current driver’s licence and ability to obtain/maintain required pre-employment checks and certifications (including National Police Check, Working with Vulnerable Cards and First Aid), plus mandatory training as required.
