Fintry Autos in Wongawallan, QLD, is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. You will diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety standards and customer expectations are met.

Qualifications

• Valid automotive mechanic qualifications or equivalent trade certification.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a qualified mechanic.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service specifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and visual inspection techniques.
• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections and fluid top-ups.
• Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems and brake systems.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and safety checks on completed work.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used and time spent on each job.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed, timelines and costs.
• Keep the workshop clean, organised and safe in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Stay current with vehicle technology and repair techniques through ongoing training.
