Turnbull Toyota in Yarram, Victoria is seeking a Qualified Mechanic to join our service team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work with modern Toyota vehicles in a professional, supportive environment, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Recognised automotive mechanical qualifications or equivalent demonstrated competency (such as AQF Level 3 or higher in automotive mechanics).
• Current driver's licence (essential for test driving vehicles).
• Proven experience working as a qualified mechanic in a busy workshop environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanical repair procedures.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and modern workshop tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
• Knowledge of Toyota vehicles and systems is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Performing a full range of mechanical repairs and maintenance on Toyota vehicles, including engine work, transmission repairs, brake systems, and suspension work.
• Diagnosing vehicle faults using both traditional methods and modern diagnostic equipment.
• Carrying out inspections and vehicle servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Ensuring all repairs are completed to the highest quality standards and within agreed timescales.
• Completing job cards accurately and recording all work undertaken.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
• Liaising with customers to explain repair requirements and provide advice on vehicle maintenance.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and workshop procedures.
