Job summary

David Jones at the Elizabeth Street Flagship in Sydney is seeking qualified Makeup Artists to bring luxury beauty brands to life for customers. You will deliver personalised treatments, share expert product knowledge, and build lasting client relationships with Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani and Dior.

Candidates should hold a Diploma or Certificate in Makeup Artistry and be comfortable with retail hours including some late nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Makeup Artistry is required.
• Experience leading high-performing teams in a beauty context is preferred.
• Customer-centric experience within a beauty environment is highly desired.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic retail setting with varied days.
• Strong communication and service orientation to represent premium brands.

What YOU’LL NEED TO THRIVE

• A Diploma or Certificate in Makeup Artistry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Experience working within a customer-centric environment.
• Experience consulting in a beauty environment is highly desired.
• The ability to thrive in an environment where no two days are the same.
• Exceptional service mindset and adaptable communication skills.
• Flexibility to work retail hours which includes some late nights and weekends.
