Job summary

A friendly rural practice in Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Dispenser to join their team. Job description

Are you an enthusiastic, qualified Dispenser (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent), who would like to join our busy but friendly practice.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic, highly motivated and a flexible team player to work as a Dispenser.

Main duties of the job

Working alongside our other Dispensers, you will be required to carry out all dispensing roles including the assembly, checking & labelling of medication and issue of dispensed items.

You will be dealing with members of the public, so excellent communication skills would be required.

We are a small, friendly, rural Practice situated in a beautiful village.

We are a very busy Practice and the health and well-being of our patients is our main priority.

There is a lot of expertise and knowledge within our Clinical team which consists of GPs, GP Trainees, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, HCSW and Phlebotomist.

We have a caring and helpful Reception team and an efficient Administration team. These all work alongside our Dispensary team which provides excellent patient services at all times.

Job responsibilities

To carry out all dispensing roles including assemble, check & label medication; issue dispensed items; correct endorsement of FP10 prescriptions; collect prescription charges; effective stock control; participate in stock rotation / cleaning of work areas; work within Practice Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
