Job summary

Stilus Design and Construction on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a qualified carpenter who takes pride in delivering high quality residential carpentry. You’ll work across decks, patios and outdoor transformations, reading plans and setting out work to spec.

Responsibilities

The role

You’ll work across quality outdoor construction projects and see them develop from the original design through to final handover.

The work is varied and may include:

• Decks, patios and structural carpentry
• Reading plans and setting out work accurately
• Foundations and concreting
• Detailed finishing work
• Basic soft landscaping and synthetic turf
• Coordinating with project managers, apprentices and other trades
• Keeping sites productive, organised and well presented
• Helping deliver a finished space the whole team can be proud of

This isn’t a narrow carpentry role. You’ll contribute to complete outdoor transformations and have the satisfaction of seeing the finished result handed over to the client.

Training and support will be provided where a project requires work outside your existing experience.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need:

• A recognised carpentry qualification
• Experience delivering quality residential carpentry work
• Experience with decks and patios
• The ability to read and interpret construction plans
• Your own reliable trade vehicle
• A suitable range of carpentry tools, including battery tools, drop saw and bench
• The ability to work productively both independently and within a team
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• A practical, positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Australian working rights, a current driver’s licence and White Card
