Job summary

Monadelphous Group is seeking an experienced Leading Hand - HVAC Maintenance Technician to support maintenance of critical HVAC systems across LNG Midstream assets on Curtis Island. The role sits within a high-performing maintenance team dedicated to safety-critical infrastructure and complex facilities in Australia.

You will lead preventative and corrective maintenance, conduct inspections and fault diagnosis, and coordinate with planners while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic License (or equivalent).
• Current LVR/CPR certification.
• Proven leadership and planning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial HVAC systems.
• Conducting inspections, testing and fault diagnosis activities.
• Identifying defects, reliability concerns and equipment anomalies.
• Completing maintenance documentation and work order closeouts.
• Coordinating with planners, schedulers and site representatives.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance strategy reviews.
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and operational requirements.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and local Leading Hand - HVAC Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance of critical HVAC systems across LNG Midstream assets located on Curtis Island. Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial HVAC systems
• Conducting inspections, testing and fault diagnosis activities
• Identifying defects, reliability concerns and equipment anomalies.
• Completing maintenance documentation and work order closeouts
• Coordinating with planners, schedulers and site representatives
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance strategy reviews
• Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental and operational requirements

What you'll bring:

• Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic License (or equivalent)
• Current LVR/CPR certification
• Proven leadership and planning capabilities
• Minimum 3 years experience in a leading hand role delivering similar industrial maintenance works
• Strong industrial and fixed-plant HVAC experience
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, ventilation systems, and safety-critical equipment
• Ability to interpret maintenance strategies and technical documentation
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Experience working within LNG, oil & gas, mining, petrochemical or heavy industrial environments will be highly regarded
• Proof of rights to work in Australia
