Job summary

Breathe Life Sciences in Brisbane seeks a Junior QC Officer to perform quality control sampling of incoming APIs, excipients, labels and packaging materials, coordinating testing at approved contract laboratories.

You’ll sit at the control point between receipt and release for manufacturing, under structured training and close supervision, with responsibility and autonomy increasing as competency is assessed.

Qualifications

• Qualification in science, chemistry, biotechnology or pharmacy, or equivalent GMP experience.
• Willingness to learn and work under supervision.
• Ability to follow procedures with numerical data and sampling plans.
• Understanding of data integrity principles (ALCOA+).

Responsibilities

• Sample incoming APIs, excipients, labels and packaging materials according to specs.
• Maintain sampling records, chain of custody and traceability.
• Inspect deliveries and verify certificates of analysis.
• Prepare and dispatch samples to contract laboratories with proper custody docs.
• Maintain a live schedule of samples, tests and results.
• Record test results accurately and raise deviations or non-conformances.
• Assist with audits and inspections (TGA GMP, Office of Drug Control, Queensland Health).
• Complete required GMP and role-specific training.
