Job summary

CSL Behring in Broadmeadows is seeking a Microbiology QC Analyst to perform routine testing and support manufacturing quality control under GMP guidelines. The role is a fixed-term contract until October 2027, with a shift roster as the site operates seven days a week.

You will prepare media, conduct environmental monitoring, review data in LIMS, and assist with investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Microbiology or related life sciences.
• Experience in a regulated pharma/biotech or healthcare lab.
• Knowledge of GMP, GLP and laboratory quality systems.
• Experience with microbiological techniques and lab practices.
• Strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• LIMS experience is advantageous.
• Sterility methods or isolator equipment experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

This position is a fixed term contract until October 2027 based in Broadmeadows and operates on a shift roster.

Shift:The site operates 7 days so there will be a day shift Monday to Friday between 7am to 6pm, however shift work may be required based on business requirements.

As a Microbiology QC Analyst, you will perform routine microbiological testing and laboratory activities that support product quality, manufacturing operations, and regulatory compliance.

• Performing microbiological testing in accordance with GMP requirements and approved procedures.
• Preparing microbiological media, buffers, reagents and standards.
• Conducting environmental monitoring and other routine microbiological assays.
• Recording and reviewing laboratory data within electronic systems including LIMS.
• Investigating laboratory events, deviations and out-of-specification results.
• Supporting equipment maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintaining laboratory compliance, cleanliness and documentation standards.
• Assisting with continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

What you'll bring
