Job summary

QantasLink is seeking a First Officer to operate regional flights with a hands-on approach and a strong emphasis on safety and professional standards.

The role requires an Australian ATPL/CPL with theory passes, instrument endorsements, and current medical and legal clearance, including ASIC and work eligibility in Australia. Based across Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, promotion to command follows with career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 500 hours total flight time
• ATPL (A) or CPL (A) with ATPL theory passes
• Endorsements for Instrument Approach 2D and 3D on Australian Instrument Rating - Multi Engine Aeroplane
• Level 6 English Language Proficiency on your Licence
• Current CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
• Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol Test
• Ability to pass Qantas pre-employment medical
• Must hold ASIC
• Current passport with unrestricted access to Qantas ports of call
• Right to work in Australia / New Zealand without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Fly as First Officer on regional routes with hands-on flying duties.
• Maintain safety and comply with airline procedures while operating flights.
• Support crew in efficient operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.

As a First Officer you'll have:

• A minimum of 500 hours total flight time in an aeroplane (Preference will be given to candidates who have flown at least 50 hours in the previous 12 months )
• An Australian Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL (A)) or Australian Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL (A)) with passes in all Australian ATPL Theory subjects
• Hold endorsements for Instrument Approach 2D and 3D on a Australian Instrument Rating - Multi Engine Aeroplane
• A Level 6 English Language Proficiency on your Licence
• A current CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
• The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test
• The ability to pass a Qantas pre-employment medical
