Job summary

Oxoid Remel Microbiology is seeking a QA/QC Technician to support the Quality Team in ensuring the quality and compliance of manufactured media products. You will help sustain QMS processes, support QC lab activities, and drive process improvements to deliver reliable results for customers and partners.

The role emphasizes maintaining documentation, data trending, and collaborating with colleagues to uphold quality across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated Quality Management System (ISO9001/ISO13485/ISO17025 desirable).
• Qualification in quality management or a science-related field (certificate, diploma or degree).
• Experience in a laboratory environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality management system processes, including document and record control, change management, deviation reporting and data trending.
• Maintain product master data, formulations and batch instructions in manufacturing system.
• Assist with product failure/root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Provide QC support for environmental monitoring, physical testing, equipment calibration, cleaning and sample maintenance.
• Prepare animal-derived components and manufacturers declarations.

About the Role

As a QA/QC Technician you'll support the Quality Team by ensuring the quality and compliance of manufactured prepared media products. You'll play an important role in advancing our mission by maintaining QMS processes, supporting QC lab and process improvement, while collaborating with talented colleagues to deliver meaningful results for our customers, partners, and communities.

What You'll Do

• Maintain quality management system processes, including document and record control, change management, deviation reporting and data trending.
• Maintain product master data, formulations and batch instructions in manufacturing system

What We're Looking For

• Experience working in a regulated Quality Management System – knowledge of ISO9001/ISO13485/ISO17025 desirable
• Qualification in quality management or science related field (certificate, diploma or degree)
• Experience working in a laboratory environment desirable
• Strong administration and computer skills including Microsoft Office, manufacturing resource system (e.g. SAP) and/or electronic QMS software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong problem-solving and corrective action implementation capabilities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
