Job summary

Thomas Foods International is seeking a QA Manager based at our Bourke goat meat processing plant on the Darling River in Northwest NSW. You will lead a high-performing team, upholding food hygiene, product quality and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

This hands-on leadership role requires experience in meat processing, AUS-MEAT standards, and a Certificate III in Meat Processing or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in the meat or food processing industry.
• Knowledge of AUS-MEAT specification standards.
• Certificate III in Meat Processing or equivalent.
• Understanding of the Meat Hygiene Assessment framework.

Responsibilities

• Operate Efficiencies - achieve agreed operational performance targets.
• Quality & Licensing Standards - ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
• Workplace Health & Safety - maintain and promote safe work practices.
• Team Supervision & Training - lead, mentor and train QA & production staff.
• Integrated Management System - implement and maintain the IMS across the site.
• Hygiene & Sanitation - oversee production hygiene and sanitation compliance.
• Process Monitoring - ensure processes meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Product Conformance - compliance with AUS-MEAT and customer specifications.
• AQIS Compliance - ensure all AQIS requirements are met and maintained.
• TFIB Standards - uphold TFIB Quality Systems, HACCP, GMP, IMS, EMS and training programs.
