Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a QA Specialist to help deliver world-class immersive technology experiences. You’ll testing and validating interactive products across AR, VR, XR, spatial computing, digital twins and large installations, working with developers, artists, designers, producers and clients to ensure every experience performs perfectly.

Job description

We are looking for a QA Specialist to help our client deliver world-class immersive technology experiences.

You’ll be testing and validating interactive digital products across AR, VR, XR, spatial computing, digital twins and large-scale immersive installations.

You will be working alongside developers, artists, designers, producers and clients to make sure every experience performs exactly as it should.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Performing functional, regression, integration, exploratory and UAT testing
• Testing software releases across multiple platforms and devices
• Identifying, documenting and tracking defects through to resolution
• Testing AR, VR, XR and interactive applications across different devices and environments
• Evaluating user journeys, interactions and overall experience quality
• Testing tracking accuracy, spatial alignment, navigation and interaction responsiveness
• Conducting performance and stability testing
• Identifying issues impacting frame rates, latency, loading times and reliability
• Validating compatibility across browsers, operating systems and devices
• Working closely with developers, designers and project teams throughout delivery
• Contributing to QA standards, best practices and continuous improvement
• Helping build and maintain automated testing processes where appropriate

What we’re looking for

You’ll have strong experience in software QA or testing, with a solid understanding of QA methodologies and best practice.

• Create effective test plans, scenarios and defect reports
• Work comfortably within Agile delivery environments
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Have an exceptional eye for detail and a genuine commitment to quality

Experience that will make you stand out

• Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded: AR/VR/Spatial/3D
• Gaming
• Interactive media
• Real-time 3D applications
• Automated testing
• Accessibility and usability testing if you’ve worked with platforms such as Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, HTC Vive, Magic Leap or HoloLens, or understand computer vision, spatial computing or digital twin technologies it would be highly beneficial.
