Job summary

Victoria Police in Melbourne’s Docklands seeks an experienced IT Tester to join the Digital Delivery and Transformation Division (CIUT) on a 24-month fixed-term basis. You will plan, execute and report on functional and non-functional testing for the LRMS program, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to automation efforts and testing strategies.

With 3–6 years in IT testing and knowledge of agile practices, you will develop test plans, scripts and acceptance criteria, identify defects,

Qualifications

Three to six years' experience in IT testing (Essential).
Experience delivering functional, non-functional, system, integration, regression and UAT testing.
Experience in Agile delivery environments (Scrum/Kanban).
Ability to define, develop, debug, execute and report automated testing.
Strong skills developing test plans, test cases and supporting docs.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, execute and report on testing across LRMS program (system, integration, regression, UAT).
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, scripts and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, vendors and project teams.
Define, develop, debug, execute and report on automated test scripts.
Identify, document, manage and monitor defects through resolution.
Monitor testing progress and prepare clear reports on outcomes and release readiness.
Support planning and facilitation of user acceptance testing.
Contribute to testing strategies, standards and continuous improvement.
Apply Agile practices and assist in defining acceptance criteria.
Build and maintain relationships across business areas and project teams.
