Job summary

Kraken in Melbourne is seeking a software engineer to contribute to our Python/Django stack, building scalable web services, REST APIs, and asynchronous processing.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, learning from a large tech workforce, with a stack incorporating PostgreSQL, Celery, and GraphQL, and opportunities to grow while helping deliver a greener energy future.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and Django with a focus on scalable web services.
• Experience with domain modelling and building RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of fault-tolerant software and asynchronous processing (Celery).
• Familiarity with Postgres databases and AWS cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multi-disciplinary software solutions in Python/Django.
• Solve design challenges and model domains for energy-focused applications.
• Work on processing millions of meter readings and robust, scalable data processing.
