Job summary

National Pump & Energy is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Mackay team. The role focuses on servicing, repairs and installations of pumping equipment at the Mackay Branch, with a strong emphasis on field work and on-site installations.

You must hold a relevant trade certificate and a current driver’s licence, with the ability to work unsupervised and interpret pump curves and pressure data. Interstate travel may be required from time to time.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate and valid driver's licence required.
• Ability to read and interpret pressure readings and pump technical data.
• Ability to read manuals and diagrams and record parts information.
• Able to work unsupervised with minimal direction.
• Experience with pump curves and basic pumping fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Performing strip downs, assessments, measurement, and reporting on pumps.
• Undertaking maintenance & repair of pumps.
• Inspections and assessments of returned fleet for damage, ensuring the assessment includes scope of repairs and parts.
• Connection and testing of pumping equipment.
• Ensuring delivery schedules are met in a timely manner.
• Accurate recording of servicing information and other documentation relevant to the role.
• Undertake ad-hoc servicing, installs and repairs in the field as required.
• Site installations of submersible pump packages.
