Job summary

In House Print is seeking a Publishing Assistant / Project Coordinator in Brisbane. You will support authors and clients through the publishing process, coordinating internal teams and external contractors to move each job forward from briefing to production and fulfilment.

The role emphasises project coordination, client communication and efficient workflow management, with a hands-on approach to the complete publishing cycle.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidently communicate with clients and manage expectations.
• Highly organised and able to manage several projects at once.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up tasks.
• Coordinate multiple stages of a publishing project with deadlines.
• Comfortable using MS Office and learning new systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for authors and publishing clients.
• Guide clients through the different stages of their publishing project.
• Review incoming project requirements and help establish the workflow.
• Coordinate clients, internal team members and external contractors.
• Manage project schedules, deadlines, approvals and outstanding information.
• Monitor editing, formatting, design, proofing, printing and fulfilment.
• Keep clients informed of progress and follow up on required files.
• Maintain accurate project records, task lists and supporting documents.
• Assist with general publishing administration and production coordination.
• Assist with basic proofreading, formatting or file checking where appropriate.
