Queensland Treasury Corporation's Queensland Government Consulting Services is seeking a Director, Commercial & Transactions to lead high-value advisory across procurement, transactions and financial advisory for public sector clients.

Reporting to an Executive Director, you will shape engagement scope, mentor teams, build reusable tools and frameworks, and translate complex commercial issues into clear, actionable guidance that delivers lasting public value.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in commercial and transaction advisory, including deal structuring and due diligence.
• Procurement advisory capability, including strategy, transformation and supplier evaluation.
• Advanced financial advisory skills: modelling, pricing, scenario analysis and valuation.
• Ability to translate complex issues into clear, actionable language.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coaching to build capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead scoping of new engagements and manage a pipeline of high-value QGCS assignments.
• Collaborate with public sector clients on large engagements to uplift capability and transfer knowledge.
• Provide senior leadership across concurrent advisory engagements and lead multidisciplinary projects.
• Lead and mentor direct and indirect reports across the division and project teams.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across the public sector.
• Develop consulting talent and contribute to QGCS growth and capability.
• Shape reusable tools and frameworks to strengthen public sector capability.
