Job Description

We are hiring a Public Relations Manager to lead communications for the technology hub of Publicis Groupe - Publicis Sapient. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead the Australian PR agenda for a globally recognised brand at the forefront of enterprise AI, customer transformation and digital innovation.

In this role, you will elevate our profile, amplify our leadership voice and turn complex business and technology topics into stories that shape conversations across the market. We're looking for someone who thinks like a journalist, acts like an editor and thrives in a fast-moving environment. You'll partner with senior leaders and subject matter experts to identify compelling stories, build meaningful media relationships, strengthen executive visibility and create a consistent presence across Australia's business, technology and industry media landscape.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to our Head of Corporate Affairs, you will:

  • Develop and execute Publicis Sapient's Australian PR strategy, aligned to global priorities and business objectives.
  • Build a high-performing editorial engine that links market opportunities, campaigns and business goals.
  • Lead local social media strategy, content planning and channel performance.
  • Partner with leaders and technical experts to create compelling narratives across AI, digital transformation, customer experience and organisational change.
  • Build strong relationships with journalists, editors, producers and industry commentators.
  • Drive executive profiling opportunities through thought leadership, speaking engagements, media interviews, awards and commentary.
  • Create and refine media materials, bylines, opinion pieces and executive communications.
  • Localise global campaigns and announcements for Australian audiences.
  • Measure impact through media coverage, message penetration, executive visibility and broader brand outcomes.
About You

You may come from journalism, agency PR, corporate communications or an in-house media relations role. What matters most is your ability to identify stories that resonate and build trusted relationships that drive results.

You'll likely bring:

  • 6-10 years' experience across public relations, corporate communications, media relations or journalism.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape and what makes a story timely, relevant and newsworthy.
  • Established relationships across Australian technology, business, trade or industry media.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and preparing executives for media engagement.
  • A commercially minded approach that connects communications outcomes to organisational growth and reputation.
  • Confidence navigating a global, matrixed environment while maintaining local relevance and impact.
  • Curiosity about AI, emerging technology and new ways of working.
  • Experience with financial services, public sector or retail sectors is advantageous, but not essential.
What we offer you:

Be a part of the Publicis Groupe family, recent winner of the Employer of Choice Awards and one of the world's most progressive and dynamic modern communications businesses. You can learn more about us at www.publicisgroupeanz.com.
