Qualifications

• Experience in public or administrative law, preferably with a strong litigation focus.
• Excellent drafting, legal research and advice-writing skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
• An interest in advocacy and appearing before courts and tribunals.
• A proactive approach to managing matters and developing your legal expertise.
• A genuine desire to build a long-term career in private practice.

Responsibilities

• Managing merits review and judicial review matters before the Administrative Review Tribunal, Federal Circuit and Family Court, Federal Court and High Court.
• Taking day-to-day carriage of matters and developing litigation strategies.
• Drafting prospects advice, legal opinions and written submissions.
• Preparing evidence and court and tribunal documentation.
• Appearing as a solicitor advocate in the Administrative Review Tribunal and Federal Circuit and Family Court.
• Instructing Counsel and working closely with senior practitioners.
• Building strong relationships with Commonwealth Government clients and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
