Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking a dedicated Facilities Presentation team member to clean and maintain public spaces – from playgrounds to beaches – across our city. This hands-on role involves operating small plant and cleaning equipment, following safety procedures, and delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning public facilities to a high standard.
• Ability to follow safety and environmental controls.
• Class C Driver’s licence with willingness to obtain LR.
• Able to work unsupervised to a scheduled maintenance program.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a broad range of tasks associated with the cleaning of public facilities such as paths, BBQ’s, bus shelters, graffiti removal, beach cleaning, playgrounds, skate parks, CBD areas, benches, fish cleaning tables and litter collection.
• Operate small items of plant in accordance with policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
• Work with minimal supervision to carry out a broad range of tasks associated with facility cleaning functions.
• Ensure that all activities are undertaken to the required legislative standards, practices and standard operating procedures, including WHS, quality and environmental controls.
• Ensure a high level of customer service in all dealings with internal and external customers and stakeholders
