Job summary

Zoos Victoria is seeking an experienced public area and office Cleaner to join their team at Melbourne Zoo. The role focuses on maintaining clean, welcoming public areas and staff facilities across a large site in Parkville.

The ideal candidate will have significant cleaning experience, a valid driver’s licence and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Weekend and public holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Have significant experience as a public area cleaner - large scale venues preferred.
• Prior experience managing staff and a proven track record of confident, responsible decision-making.
• Have experience with chemical handling and OHS compliance.
• Be able to work as a team as well as autonomously.
• Be flexible to work across a 7-day roster - weekends and public holidays, before, during and after business hours.
• Have a current driver's licence.
• First Aid Level 1 certificate will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public areas and staff facilities to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Support office areas with cleaning and basic maintenance tasks as required.
