Job summary

CQ Psych Services, based in Gladstone, Central Queensland, is seeking an experienced Psychologist to join an established private-practice team. The role offers a genuine pathway to Clinical Team Leadership, including responsibility for clinical supervision and team development.

We provide strong administrative support, templates, professional development, and a burnout-conscious caseload model. Relocation assistance may be negotiable, with lifestyle memberships and flexible arrangements on offer.

Qualifications

• Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
• Substantial post-registration experience as a practising psychologist.
• Broad experience across client presentations and varying levels of complexity.
• Strong clinical judgement and evidence-based practice.
• Confidence navigating risk, professional boundaries, referral pathways and multidisciplinary care.
• Strong understanding of clinical documentation, ethical practice and professional responsibilities.
• Experience working collaboratively within a clinical team.
• Strong professional communication skills.
• Maturity to navigate challenging clinical and professional conversations.
• Understanding of systems and processes around quality clinical care.
• Genuine interest in supporting the development of other clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological intervention and/or assessment according to experience and areas of interest.
• Operate within the Burnout Prevention Caseload Model to support sustainable practice.
• Progress into Clinical Lead role and provide supervision and mentorship.
• Collaborate with Director and Practice Manager on clinical team development.
• Contribute to governance, quality improvement and onboarding of clinicians.
• Support student placements and supervise trainees where appropriate.
